Al-Qaeda in Saudi Arabia Rejects Amnesty Offer

Al-Qaeda in Saudi Arabia has rejected an amnesty offer proposed last month by King Abdullah for wanted Islamic militants who surrender to authorities,” reports Agence France-Presse. An online statement purported to be from al-Qaeda on Wednesday said a previous offer had “‘… already been tried and failed … no surrender. It will be victory or martyrdom.’” In a previous amnesty “six people turned themselves in” and “only one figured on a list of 26 of Saudi Arabia’s most wanted persons.”
